Assassin's Creed Reveals Surprising AoT Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre crossover event that breaks conventional expectations, the game developer has announced an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Revealed
According to the authorized statement, "A strange encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of prohibited rituals and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The storyline introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine sect.
The questline centers on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Changes
The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Extra Content
Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an exclusive katana together with several objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Latest Free Story Update
This patch also introduces the game's third no-cost story content, titled "The Enigma." This lighthearted mission partners Naoe and Yasuke as they trade signature techniques: Naoe introduces a dramatic version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns non-lethal stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "A Puzzlement" also features a new environmental puzzle that may ultimately clarify some lingering questions from the main storyline.
